May 21, 2010 Landon's First Visit with Gavin and Grandpa

Landon had a big day today in that he got to meet his little brother Gavin and Grandpa arrived today for a visit.

We have been practicing how to handle a baby with Landon's Teddy. We diapered him and wrapped him in a receiving blanket. Landon then put him down for a nap.

I found Landon at his books after breakfast.

How appropriate....his reading selection was "I'm a Big Brother". He anad I read this 4 times this morning.

Yea!!! Grandpa.....Now it's Grandpa do it!

WOW!!! Landon is holding Grandpa's hand......he never wants to hold anyones hand when he goes for a walk. ( A trait he inherited from his Mommy.)

Gavin James Russell arrived weighing 8 pounds 12 ounces and was 22.4 inches long.

Marcy started to have contractions again on the morning of May 20th at 3 in the morning. They continued throughout the day. By 8 pm the contractions were 4 minutes apart and they headed off to the hospital.

May 19, 2010 Explosive Cooking

Wow!!! Dinner was an explosive event. When I opened the door the outer glass shattered and fell all over the floor. At least the inner window remained intact so our dinner survived the explosion. The repairman came in the next day and replaced the door. HUMMMMM wonder why they had a door ready that quickly??????

Marcy was scheduled to go to the hospital this morning to try induction. Alas, the contractions were not strong enough so they came home after spending the day at the hospital.
